5 Things Positive People Do Every Morning

1. Start Your Day With Positive Self Talk

Every morning I wake up, as soon as my alarm goes off, the first thing I do is think a positive thought to myself. Even those mornings when I really don’t feel like getting up, I make sure to start my day with a positive thought. That’s when you need it the most! My go-to thought is usually “today is a great day”. You can also try, “I am thankful for today”, “I love my life”, anything to get those positive vibes going.

2. Get Outside

Going outside every morning is a great way to breath in some fresh air and start your day off right. By walking outside you get your brain going, your body moving and have time to clear your mind or think about the day ahead of you. Before I had a dog I never realized how great and beneficial it is to get outside in the mornings. Going outside for a walk helps me to wake up my body and mind, appreciate the nature around me and is an excellent way to ground myself before I begin my day.

3. Drink Lemon Water

Why not start off your day by making your body feel good? Drinking lemon water may seem like a strange thing to do to help you be more positive, but the health benefits are simply amazing. Drinking warm lemon water is a great way to get naturally energized. Lemon water helps you to feel refreshed by hydrating and oxygenating your body. It also helps to keep your body in an alkaline state. Every morning before consuming anything else I always drink a cup of warm lemon water. Its benefits are endless. 4. Smile

Smile more! Some people are not morning people, understandably. Smiling is one way to help ease the pain of those early mornings. Often we get to work and don’t feel like talking to anyone. Early morning conversations can be difficult. An easy way to brighten your day is to say good morning and smile at people you pass in your building, even if you don’t know them. I find when I greet others with a friendly hello and a smile that the feeling is contagious. They smile back and I can see an appreciation for the positive greeting in the morning. It’s something so simple that can help make your day and someone else’s day.

5. Exercise

If you’re looking for a way to jump start your day, exercising is the answer! Exercising in the morning gets your metabolism going for hours, energizes you and releases endorphins, helping you to feel happier. Talk about a great way to take care of your mind, body and soul. Exercising is a sure way to get you thinking and feeling positive each and every morning.
