Juice Recipe: Beet & Apple Juice

Juicing seems to have become this popular fad that has taken over the health food world. Well, thank goodness because the benefits of juicing are amazing! Whether you’re new to juicing or just looking for a new recipe, here are some benefits and a delicious recipe for you. We will be bringing you new recipes each week and letting you know the benefits of the fruits and veggies you are using in your recipes. In this recipe, beets and apples are the stars. Beets have been called the healthiest food in the world. Beet roots, stems and leaves can all be juiced and provide different nutrients. They provide the body with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and detoxification support. Beets also help to cleanse the liver and support it. Apples are full of vitamins that are important to good health. Apples contain vitamin-C, calcium, potassium, beta-carotene, riboflavin, are full of antioxidants and more! Juicing is a great way to get an incredible amount of vitamins and nutrients into your body quickly and easily.

½ – 1 Beet (½ if large, 1 whole beet if smaller)
2 Small red apples (or 1 large)
1 Whole lemon (do not remove the peel, unless it is not organic)
1 Handful of kale
1” Fresh ginger peeled (add more for stronger flavor)
2 Carrots peeled
1 handful of pineapple or strawberries
Optional – add chia seeds to your juice at the end
Optional – ice cubes

*Always use organic fruits and vegetables and enjoy your juice mindfully.
